Vincent Degos

Vincent Degos , MD, PhD is Associate Professor in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. He leads the Neuro-Intensive Care unit and the Neuro-Anesthesia’s team of Pitié Salpetrière’s Hospital, UPMC, Sorbonne Universities, France.
He performs clinical Investigation about outcome prediction and therapeutic optimization for Traumatic Brain Injury, Sub-Arachnoid Hemorrhage and Ischemic and Hemorragic Stroke. He is also the head of the Neurobiomarker’s team in the BIOFAST GRC (UPMC, Sorbonne Universities, Paris).

Vincent works also as Associate Researcher for the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM U1141 directed by Pierre Gressens) and performs experimental and translational research about neuro-inflammation (innate immune response, microglial activation and polarisation) in the context of acute brain injuries (excitotoxicity, ischemic and hemorragic stroke), neuroprotective mechanisms of anesthetic agents and mechanisms of POCD.
